Aims and Objectives
Aims:
We are all essentially human beings our main aim is to celebrate our cultures and diversity about what makes us different and unique and we do this by connecting with each other, sharing our experiances with each other, supporting each other and empowering each other.
We aim to create opportunities to explore issues of mutual concern and promote a sense of identity pride and belonging for all people living in Somerset.
To empower people in Somerset from all backgrounds including those from mixed race backgrounds to be inclusive and most importantly to evolve strategies for coping and dealing with racism.
Objectives:
- To offer advice, support, information and friendship to people of mixed heritage, people of all backgrounds, families and individuals living in Somerset
- Organise get togethers, conferences and workshops, discussion groups in order to celebrate our culture and learn from each other.
